Cy's mission is to engage people in innovative ways in so as to align individual objectives with those of the organisation. Since 1997 he has designed and run over 20 Employee Development Programmes based on the principles of TQM, Kaizan, Six Sigma, Business process Re-engineering, and Lean Manufacturing. All Cy's programmes involve transferring continuous process improvement skills to cross-functional workforce teams charged with delivering measurable productivity improvements in their organisations.
Cy is one of a small number of UK government licensed consultants, having 3 licenses for the transfer of skills in Operations Management, Information and Communications Technology, and Business Diagnostics. He is also a licensed Benchmark Practitioner through the Department of Trade and Industry and an SDI practitioner (strengths deployment inventory).
It is not knowledge in itself that confers power, but the application of knowledge, and the success of the programmes developed by Cy lies in their ability to transfer complex concepts in a practical and understandable manner to a range of personnel with varying degrees of educational attainment. To that end, effective communication skills, understanding language patterns and personality traits, neuro-associative skills (why people do the things they do) are all tools Cy uses. He is a Certified Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistics, and is accredited both as an Executive Performance Coach and Accelerated Learning Trainer through the Institute of Leadership and Management. Cy has a Certificate in Professional Development from Clemson University (USA), and numerous industry specific certifications ranging from Industrial Engineering to forensic analysis.
Cy has lectured on numerous programmes at Manchester Business School in subjects as diverse as developing creativity, to operations management and the UK taxation system. He lectured in Operations and Quality Management on the acclaimed Liverpool Advanced Growth Programme. He has published work on innovation in the Journal of Innovation and Technology.
