I have worked in property and construction business development roles over the last 15 years, including Stonemartin and Workspace Group. I have also worked as Head of Business Development for Savills Commercial and I find it common in property that negotiators are not given basic sales or soft skills training.

At Stonemartin the issue was wider in that the customer service team, as well as negotiators, needed basic to intermediate training. I therefore needed a training company that could introduce the concept of client connection and sales in day to day customer service activities, plus sales and negotiation skills to the office and meeting rooms sales teams. After receiving a number of proposals and interviewing 3 companies, I selected Sales Training International for their fit, enthusiasm and previous client results.

They were superb and the teams welcomed the help. The training was lively, interactive, good value for money and more importantly you saw results! It connected with junior members of staff and made them feel empowered and they enlightened and enthused the sales team. With this group in particular, it directly resulted in larger deals being converted as they had a greater client understanding and gravitas in the field.

Sales Training International went on to hold sales and soft skills courses over a period of years and we never received anything but positive feedback and improved results.
